Growing up as a child, I thought Summer would never end.  Constantly being taken to the park, waiting to get on the swing, monkey bars, and the see saw.  I mean the summer as a child was awesome!  Sometimes my mom would by me ice cream from the Good Humor truck.  Or better yet, get me and  my brother and sister some of that good old icy that was shaved from that big old ice block.   My favorite icy was pineapple and strawberry. Once in a while, I would  have a cherry icy.  Man oh man that was the good old days.  I mean in the 1960s and early 1970s, everything seem like a childhood dream.  You always got rewarded for doing good. I mean you always got something. 

My favorite candies were jolly rancher, chico sticks, milky way and almond joy candy bars.  But nothing, and I mean nothing could compare to being greeted by that friendly sailor who always had his hat on waiting to salute you every time.  I mean, in my mind, I would go “oh boy what’s inside?”  This was one time and every time reaching for that yes!  I mean caramel popcorn and peanuts that was good to me every time.  But what made this snack different from all the rest of my favorite snack was that I got rewarded! 

And that how customer should feel when they purchase something from their favorite store. When customers reward themselves or their love ones, they should get a prize   You know, Just like reaching your hand down into your wallet to retrieve cash, credit or debit card, there should be that same old  feeling when one buy a Cracker Jack box.  The company that made  the Cracker Jack made sure that you got a thank you, that reward and that prize.  Is this what you should get from Terry Jerry & Guys each time you patronize from them?  Yeah. Why not?   Why loose the opportunity?  See what you get. What do you have to lose?

Now if, you a bag lover like me but get upset that whenever you  buy a luxury bag all you  get is nothing but a bag. I mean not even some type of a thank you. Yep!  How is it that Macy’s Department store can offer incentives to keep their faithful and new customers keep coming back?  Macy’s Department store  and other big time stores can offer anywhere from 25% to 50% off or buy one and get another one free, why can’t I or even your store?  If you own a store like I do,  click here to see what I am talking about to get something  like this .  These are type of prize or reward you want to get or give to your customers.

When you walk into any department store of your choice,  you have not only room enough to browse but see at the minimum two to three salesperson.  Like many consumers, I either was created to prematurely.  Meaning, I was not given enough time to marvel at the display or given the chance to go left or right to any of the merchandise that caught my eye.  Now there is nothing wrong getting assistance but at least when approached with a smile let me know that “if you need anything I will be over there by the shoes display.”  Consumers need to know that they are not just numbers, buyers or dollar figures but people and treated as such.  Establishing a  relationship  means not being pushy but genuinely concern.  Your department now offers coupons, key cards, punch cards, etc.  This is great!  The only problem Is that whether a person just spent $10 or $100, a gift should be given through mail delivery or right there on the spot.  Whether the gift be just a gadget or a certain amount taken off consumers next purchase, it should be delivered!

Online stores are one of the biggest craze.  With online stores, you do not have to leave home. You can order products not only with your computer and laptops but you can now order whatever you want on your cell phone. On any given holiday occasion,  It is at your comfort.  Now you will not receive that real life person connection or over crowded store hustle and bustle but you still be able receive customer service through email, social media, and phone.  In some cases, appreciation thank you cards, free gifts from your first to your last purchase and even a reminder of a happy birthday! Whatever you choose, there is no service like customer service!Would it be worth the effort to get more money in your pocket to give something away like this
